Healers Unite
Code of Ethics
As a
member of Healers Unite, I pledge to abide by the following:
1. I agree to respect my clients' opinions, privacy, and
religious/spiritual beliefs.
2. I agree to not make false promises or generate misleading
advertising or claims about my services and scope of practice,
especially when describing the desired outcome.
3. I
agree to fully explain my procedures, what is required of the client,
and any fees that are involved in the scope of my practice before the
session begins.
4.
I agree to inform clients that Holistic Healing is not a substitute
for professional medical or psychological attention, as well as
describing how and why holistic healing is different than traditional
medicine.
5. I agree to avoid use of the following words when describing my
field of practice:
"treat",
"cure", "patient", "recommend", "advise", "examine", "prescribe",
"dispense", "administer", "diagnose", and any other words that are
reserved only to licensed medical doctors. I will however explain my
practice and results of my services via self-example (If I felt that
way...) and instead use words that resonate with holistic healthcare
such as "client", "consult", "alignment", "blockage", "correct",
"imbalance", "evaluation", etc.
6. I will
explain to the client that holistic and spiritual healing are fully
protected in the US as religious practices, and that neither I as the
practitioner, nor they as the client, can be persecuted for practicing
our religious/spiritual beliefs.
7.
I agree to take charge of my own health and well-being, living by
right example, and doing all that I can to continue to grow as a
healer and an individual.
8. I will
continue to educate myself in the many modalities of holistic and
spiritual healing.
